Double exhibition YOU AND ME

Art gallery PUTTI* is an art gallery in Riga established in 2000 with a defined focus and mission – promotion of unique works of Latvian jewellers and fashion designers. The authors of the adornments exposed in the PUTTI gallery are talented and highly professional artists – graduates of the Latvian and Estonian academies of art – Mais Aunins, Valdis Broze, Ieva Dekstere, Andris Lauders, Guntis Lauders, Zane Lavrinovica, Kaspars Millers, Gints Strelis, Maris Sustins and Janis Vilks. Each of them has a distinctive, individual handwriting: from effective playing with ethnographical elements of various nationalities and cultures of the world, purity and ascetic lines of the Bauhaus school, to attractive post-modern compositions and free transformation of nature forms. The main thing is that the PUTTI gallery is a great place for outstanding pieces of hand art created from precious natural materials (silver and gold, gemstones and semiprecious stones, enamel and pearls, etc.). And they make their owners stand out!
* Putti (Italian, plural) – a figure of a podgy human baby, almost always male, often naked and having wings, found especially in Italian Renaissance art.

A new Art Gallery PUTTI was opened with the exhibition ME AND YOU by Latvian artists Ingūna and Guntis Lauders.
