Solo exhibition by Latvian graphic artist Roberts Koļcovs

This time the artist Roberts Koļcovs has planned to highlight TIME as a priority, incorporating some of its highlights in his technical performance and his reflections on this elusive and divisive phenomenon. The amount of time spent working on this exhibition is worth mentioning as a direct use value. The selected material – rough, thick paper, ink – is difficult and time consuming to process. The period during which the works were created is also mentioned as an integral part of the exhibition.
The basis or “backbone” of the exhibition consists of a series of three graphic works that make the exhibit equal to the artifact, the documentation of a particular time slot.
Contentually, the guideline of the exhibition is closely related to the image of a woman and a woman as the only size that is visualized. It is a woman and her visual image as the only entity representing humanity, with details and image additions from the botanical arsenal. It is like a call to the man’s eyes to look at the exhibit, thus balancing the overall picture. The author wanted to use this tool based on the worldly observations of the moment, and considered it the most appropriate way for him to express his observations and express his thoughts.
